Want Group Accountants was established by Steven Want in 2011 for the purpose of providing a personalised accounting and tax advisory service to his clients. Whilst Steven has worked in various small, medium-sized and large chartered accounting firms, he has also worked “on the other side of the fence” in various commercial environments. This enables Steven to relate to his clients and to understanding what it’s like to be in their shoes.

Being empathetic to our clients’ needs, concerns and understanding what keeps them up at night is an integral part of delivering our services.

Steven qualified as a chartered accountant in 1999 having previously started with PKF Australia which was later ranked 15th largest global accounting network in 2016. Since then Steven has undertaken consulting roles ranging from process improvement for the UK Passport Office, Strategy Implementation for Dunn & Bradstreet, and has also undertaken various CFO-type roles. In 2001 Steven re-joined and successfully grew the family business (giftware importers and wholesalers) to eventual sale before re-entering the profession in 2006 and eventually starting his own chartered accounting firm in 2011.

Having gained a wide insight into assisting sophisticated investors and family groups, businesses small and large, Steven understands how important it is to put his client’s goals front and centre of the services that his firm delivers.
